Daniel Especially the riff of Rollin' reminds me of Halfway to Gone. That's not a bad thing at all.

"Motherslug" hits the mark dead center with their maiden release, providing a worthy collection of massive stoner melodies.

...cranking out low, loud riff rhythms while shredding the dark energy of the universe with searing light beams of power and brilliance. Motherslug do that in spades...

Heavy Planet -

Think classic Stoner played heavier and in a more monolithic way. KYUSS, ACRIMONY and SLEEP would give you some clues.

If you have time to check only one track of this band then this should be “Space Man”: Trippy intro, fuzzed up bass, harsh vocals, heavy guitars, hard pounding drums but most of all giant-sized monolithic riffs man! That’s what MOTHERSLUG is all about.

Dr. Doom's Lair -

For listeners long inducted into the realm of stone, the tracks on the Motherslug EP should more or less feel like coming home...

The Obelisk -

"Motherslug's spaced out explorations are Desert Rock almost by definition imbibing Arizona's finest..."

"All four songs here are great..."

"Symptoms (of the Human Race)" is a pulsating storm of static-y fuzz and gigantic swaying hooks. The song starts off innocently enough with a chunking fuzz riff and noises broadcast from some otherworldly swirling void but soon blows the listener's head off like a model house in an atomic blast test. It becomes harder and harder to resist the rushing currents of explosive power, swaying dizzily from the rampaging juggernaut and before long one is swept up in the maelstrom, "Symptoms of the HU-MAN".

Paranoid Hitsophrenic -

"Motherslug quickly catches attention and respect."

"...the band plays some pretty classical, yet terribly infectious Stoner/Doom in the vein of Black Sabbath, early Sleep and Kyuss"

'"Devils Rise", although ending in a brief thunderous up-tempo, confirms this taste for the slow darker side of stoner with a deep fuzzy bass sound."

"Clocking at about 9 minutes, "Space Man" is the longest tune, growing gradually, it is the doomiest too; crushing guitars, rumbling bass, gloomier vocals..."
